The vision of Apostolic Pentecostals of Rockford Inc., started many years ago growing up in Rockford. I watched as many efforts were made to “clean up” the 7th Street area and God allowed us to begin our ministry in the Mid-Town area.  God has blessed us with a facility at 840 Mattis Ave in Rockford now but, our passion is still includes the people of the inner city.  God began to deal with me about the need for a Spiritual awakening that was needed in the hearts and lives of the people of the inner city. A person could be fed physically but, the real need is the void that is present in many people’s lives. This void is sought to be filled by many avenues…alcohol, drugs, violence, gangs, sex, women, men, etc. At some point a person reaches a point of desperation. This desperation and void can only be filled by the “New Birth” experience. Born again of the Water and the Spirit and dying out to the Old sinful man or woman that put you in the position you are in. This fills the void and fills that longing that you have had for possibly many years. Our mission is: “A Church with a Mission of Reaching the Lost at all cost”. The mission side strives to feed the hungry and clothe those who are in need. The Church side is to present this Wonderful Gospel saving message to a lost and dying inner city. We stand firm that the inner city does not need a Mission/Church who is there to pretend and “play” church. We feel strongly that there is only one way to God and his name is Jesus.
